14 Day Trip
This trip lets you see the beauty of central Nepal; the biggest tourist destinations, Kathmandu and Pokhara. You’ll also ride up to the town of Gorkha in the Western hills, which adds historical significance to the trip.
Days 1-4: Once you’ve landed in Kathmandu we will transfer you from the airport to your hotel. The first day will be spent riding the bikes and getting you familiar with the kind of terrain you will be riding on for the next 2 weeks. The first major destination is Pokhara, where you will enjoy a view of the 8000m peaks of the Annapurna and Manaslu ranges that stand just 25km away from the city.
Days 5-9: Now we’ll ride an important religious site in Muktinath where there are 108 cold waterspouts, where you must run through all the spouts to cleanse yourself of all your sins. This will prepare you well enough for the 3 dips into the pools where you should submerge yourself completely. There will be a ride to the hot springs the following day at Tatopani. Then onto Gorkha, the site where Prithvi Narayan Shah was raised, and at the age of 21 year started his war until the day he had conquered the whole of Nepal, roughly 27 years later.
Days 10-14: The final days we will spend heading back to the East side of Nepal where you will have the option of staying in Kathmandu and sightseeing or taking day trips on the bikes to ancient trading spots, monuments and sacred sites. Or heading North to the Tibetan Border side.
During the trip you will see many beautiful temples are as natural to Nepal as the mountains are. Also scattered across the landscape are many stupas (shrines) that often have prayer flags strung up along the hillside. Whilst riding you will travel through different climatic zones, which is an experience in itself.
