8 day trip Highest Altitude: 2000m
Days 1-4: From Kathmandu we ride through the historic city Bhaktapur, one of the three ancient kingdoms. These initial rides will get you familiar with the style of riding in Nepal, and by now you will have read the ‘Hazards of the Road’ notes ahead of the trip.We then head East on the same road that Edmund Hillary and Tenzing would have travelled on many years back. Taking us to Charikot to see a close up view of Mt. Gauri Shankhar and many miles down the mountainsides. We return to Nagarkot on the rim of Kathmandu Valley for more mountain views. We ride to Daman for a 400km range of the Himalaya, on the first highway into Kathmandu.
Days 5-8: We head down south to the jungle where we will spend a night and have some time to explore the national park, which are home to the famous Bengali Tiger, Elephants, exotic birds and many types of flora. The next stop is Pokhara, you will enjoy a view of the Annapurna range of mountains sitting behind the Phewa Tal, a lake with a temple in the middle.
Then onto Bandipur, where majestic Himalayan views are seen from this busy and ancient trading town. Ride back to Kathmandu on the highway and the next day is the departure day.
This trip brings you to the Himalayas and the Jungle, whilst staying on tarmac/black top roads. You will get to see a lot of Nepal and cover hundreds of kilometres of ground. All the time spent in a convoy and with english speaking guides. As with all the trips all accommodation and meals are taken care of. The standard of accommodation can be adjusted to suit the group accordingly.
